In January 1993 police arrested the owner of Clinica Feminina de la Cominidad an abortion clinic in Orange County, CA after the suspicious death of a patient at the clinic. News reports alleged Alicia Ruiz Hanna a non-physician performed numerous abortions at the clinic. The body of one of the clinic patients was found outside in the parking lot. Clinic employees have stated that the patient, Angela Sanchez suffered complications and Ruiz refused to call for help and would not allow her employees to call either. Ruiz was caught stuffing the dead abortion patient’s body into the trunk of her car.
