GA Medical Board, Jan 7, 2010: Public reprimand and disciplinary sanctions for Lawrence W. Miller. Board found that Miller performed a botched abortion on a 15-year-old patient, causing multiple uterine perforations, severe abdominal pain, and vaginal bleeding. Patient subsequently required emergency surgery and 4 units of blood. This Public Consent Order issued Miller disciplinary sanctions, including 20 hours of continuing medical education, $7500 in fines, and $550 in reimbursement fees. -
