Read 11 documented reports of complications, failed abortion, incomplete abortion, severe bleeding, emergency hospitalization, and transfusion, all from abortion by pill at this location in 2016. After the follow-up appointment, complications lasted from 1 hour to over one month. In all but one case, a surgical D&C or suction aspiration abortion was required to finish, and one woman had to have emergency transport to the hospital for a transfusion.
