Laura Hope Smith of Sandwich died on September 13. She was 22 years old.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Eileen Smith of Orlando, Florida. Born in Honduras on May 25, 1985, she grew up in Sandwich.
Ms. Smith graduated from the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School in 2004 in Bourne, where she majored in cosmetology.
She worked in retail management and was a member of Calvary Chapel of Sandwich.
Ms. Smith was engaged to Private Rob LaBossiere, who is serving in Iraq.
In addition to her parents and fiancé, she leaves her siblings, Marcella Embry of Orlando, Marni Garrity of Boston, and Matt Smith of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three nieces; 32 cousins; and many aunts and uncles.
A service was held Wednesday at Christ Chapel in Centerville.
