MD Court of Special Appeals, Feb. 2, 1999 - "Ruth E. Young v. Medlantic Laboratory Partnership": Appeals Court ruled in favor of abortion patient Ruth E. Young, who suffered a botched abortion performed by Dr. Alan J. Ross on Nov. 19, 1992. Dr. Ross failed to diagnose Young's ectopic pregnancy, and performed an abortion on her. 10 days later Young suffered a ruptured fallopian tube, and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove her right fallopian tube. Young filed a malpractice suit against Dr. Alan Ross. -
