Dallas Morning News, July 28, 2002: Abortionist Jasbir Ahluwalia is cited in article for long history of lawsuits & severe patient injuries. Most of his medical training was received in Uganda. Violations include: 1) Sued for causing severe brain damage to infant during delivery. Settled lawsuit for over $1.3 million in 1989. 2) Lost hospital privileges at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital (TX) after failing to adequately manage high-risk pregnancies. 3) Sued by patient in 1991 for perforating her uterus during an abortion. Sued again the same year by another patient for causing the same injury. 4) Sued by patient in 1995 for allegedly blocking a ureter with stitches. Resulting complications forced patient to undergo surgery to remove one kidney. (see page 9 of article) -

Ahluwalia failed to adequately document two high-risk cesarean sections, and also lost his hospital privileges after improperly managing high-risk pregnancies. Board restricts Ahluwalia's medical license for 1 year, and requires him to compete 50 hours of continuing medical education, along with other stipulations. -
