Marilynn C. Frederiksen

In September 1992, 13-year-old Deanna Bell died after a botched abortion at Family Planning Associates in Chicago, IL. Deanna Bell was given excessive amounts of anesthesia for the abortion. Clinic staff failed to monitor her vital signs, and she was found in the recovery room not breathing and with no heartbeat. Deanna's mother sued the clinic and abortionists for malpractice. 2nd-trimester abortionist Dr. Marilyn Frederiksen testified in support of the clinic and abortionists, and gave her opinion that they had conformed to the standard of care in Deanna Bell's abortion.
