On April 9, 2004, PP abortionist Allison Bryant performed a 1st-trimester abortion on Jennifer Raper at the PP League of Massachussetts. PP also gave Raper a birth-control Depo-Provera shot after the abortion. Unbeknowns to Jennifer Raper, the abortion had failed, and Raper was still pregnant. Raper subsequently went to the Mattapan Community Health Center for multiple post-abortion checkups. The hospital doctor, Dr. Benjamin Eleonu, failed to determine that Raper was still pregnant. Instead, Raper was told that her weight gain, lack of periods, & breast tenderness were side effects of the Depo-Provera. Raper eventually went to a different hospital, where she learned the abortion had failed and she was seven months pregnant. She sued PP League of Massachusetts, abortionist Allison Bryant, and Dr. Benjamin Eleonu who failed to diagnose her pregnancy. See pages 1-6.
